Finally some pics of the new rocker trim installed as well as modified front center caps to fit my narrow track spidertrax spaced out front tires.

Got the girl out to shine up. She’s entered in a fairly prestigious car show tonight. Pics and details to come afterwards.

What did you do to modify the center caps?
I'll be throwing some spacers on mine, never even thought to check if the caps would interfere.

You’ll quickly see the interference once you hold a cap up to a mounted wheel. With spacers the wheel is clocked differently as it relates to the hub than without spacers. The hub bolts will hit the caps and not allow them to seat on the wheel. You have to clearance the valleys of the caps. I’ll get a pic here shortly

Amazing time at the show. So many compliments and questions about the Scrambler. Only one there of course!

I grabbed one pic. I think some buddies have more that I’m trying to get. Here’s my almost 4 yr old standing beside HER Jeep as she says.

Some updates on the ‘81...

Completing a brake upgrade utilizing Master Power Brakes. I’ve installed this kit on a CJ7 and another Scrambler. Night and day difference.

Also upgrading the steering with a new box and Borgeson shaft.

All this so the NEW OWNER will be more comfortable on road trips with her. She leaves me the first week of December. He’s gonna join here as well. I’ve known him for years and if anyone can buy it off me it’s him. He’ll take good care of her.

I’m not done with Scramblers. I recently purchased an ‘83 off a guy on here. BIG plans for it after I finish the CJ7 Renegade. Stay tuned!

Wow, did not see this coming. Thought this was built to be a keeper. Sure is a sharp looking ‘8!

Looking forward to seeing the current ‘7 come together, and then of course, the newly purschased scrambler!

Congrats!

What size shackles did you use with that BDS kit and did you have regular body mounts or any lift with those? I'm getting ready to order a similar suspension setup and planning to run 35's. Really like the stance you achieved.

Great looking Scrambler, looks like the new owner is in for a treat. Will be looking forward to your next build thread with the '83.

4.5” BDS lift with the YJ conversion up front. Using the shackles that came with it. No body lift. Off road the 35s would rub I’m sure but I didn’t build it to leave the pavement. Hell its never seen the rain!

I've known AdamH since ~1999. I have been stalking his CJ-8 since his build in the 2013 timeframe. We were neighbors for 7 years when I had my TJ and he taught me everything I know about jeeps. I can't believe he finally agreed to sell the 8. My son (15 yrs old) and I fly up to Charlotte on 12/8 and will be driving back to Woodstock, GA on 12/9. Can't wait. BTW, just joining this CJ-8 forum and look forward to the future connections. I sold my TJ (2000 model) in 2010 when I moved to a F150 for more family room. I still have the F150 and the CJ-8 will be my garage/hobby. Look forward to learning from this group.

I took the 8 to the Southern CJ Meet and Swap last weekend and she got best in show for the CJ8 class. Better, AdamH made a trip to GA to join me for the event. Well done, Adam. Lots of awesome Jeeps there.
