I am interested in trading a 1981 Jeep Scrambler body and frame for work on another 83 Scrambler I have. Is that someone might be interested in?

Alot more details would help. Shape of both l, what the one you want worked on needs, what parts you have, etc. Pictures would be a huge plus.
I personally am not interested but trying to help you out

Yes. Let us know what you want done and pic of what you want to trade My friend in PA might be interested

I could be interested. As others have said, more details needed.

Understood. Basically the one I would hand over is a rolling chassis with a repaired tub on top. The tub was previously red and the decals are in rough shape (I had a local welder go over the body), there is no rot on the frame, I have added a bracket for the e-brake but otherwise have cleaned it up to prevent rust taking hold. I have had the front differential corrected (the front axle is partially reinstalled). I have many parts that can be refurbed as well as a full top. There is a I6 engine (was running when pulled), a Jeep T18 transmission that shifts easily and/or a refurbed TH400, and a Dana 300. I have several D300 guts I got in a trade. All of parts the power train are loose and uninstalled.
The one I need worked on doesn’t have a tub (I will buy), is also a rolling chassis, AMC 360, Ford T18a and Dana 300.
I spent a lot of time working on these two before COVID came along a demolished my energy level and memory. It will only allow me to upload 1 photo so I added one from the day I brought it home.

One of you guys came to my garage with his son to buy a badly damaged tub years ago. It was badly repaired with Line-X when I got it. This is in Martinsburg, WV. I forget the name of the man at this point.
I did not post heavily on here previously because my original work was done on a CJ7. I have a bunch of posts on Jeepforum.com when I was in the midst of the work.

Here is a short post I made about the Scrambler and a pic of the full top

I’m pretty sure that was me that came to your shop. I used the Linex body on mikes scrambler.

I’ve put several scramblers together for myself and others. Send me a message on this forum and I’ll give you my contact info. I’m in central Va.

I made a quick few minute video of the contents of the garage.
Going from the start of the video to the end:
Empty windshield (paint no rust), air handler rebuilt, front fender new, rear fender new, hood in good shape, dash cover no rot, seat reupholstered (poorly prior to be getting it), another fender no rot, driver's side door torn down and parts replaced, another driver door with no rot, original door cover in decent shape, half top with minor crack, exhaust removed undamaged, passenger door torn down and parts replaced, inline 6 valve cover, oil pan in decent shape, fan shroud, rear cover for CJ7, radiator in good shape, AMC 360 working when pulled (I cleaned it up quite a bit but did little to the internals), another air handle in good shape, CJ8 spare tire mount, plastic fenders - likely bad shape at this point, drive shaft needs to be refurbed, several wiring harnesses which I was in the midst of refurbing, steering columns in working order, e-brake cable, glass for full door, another door in the midst of being repaired - all new parts, dual battery box, passenger side door torn down and repaired no rot, engine protector very good shape, transmission cover, starting with the red CJ8 in which the body has been worked on by a welder and repaired where needed, the frame has been repaired and painted, clutch/brake assembly, radiator fan new, full door glass, starter, engine air diverter, various engine mounts, another transmission cover, another drive shaft, steering knuckle, another engine cover, pair of leaf springs unbroken, tailgate, tie rod, another dash cover in excellent shape, steering wheel, pair of seat frame installed, the CJ8 body has a divider in great shape, roll bar in good shape, steering box in good shape, steering shaft in good shape, leaf springs in the front have been rebuilt with new parts, alternator working when pulled, TH400 rebuilt by a professional, the Jeep t18 (I was told it was working when purchased), t4 likely crap, dana 300 working when pulled, now to the CJ8 I want rebuilt - body was sold, the frame is in excellent shape, I have the i6 engine currently installed but want the 360 put in this CJ, the CJ has the fuel line and brake lines professionally replaced, another seat frame in good shape, fuel tank - i forget if this was the new 20 gal or the original 15 gallon - cleaned it out, two front fenders in great shape, grill in excellent shape, newer rear bumper, tow pintle, another air handler, brake booster, more battery boxes, a couple of battery that are about 5 years old - untested, two chrome side steps, many chrome parts some interior some exterior all new, dashboard rebuilt with extra cables, another steering column, drain tube, another dashboard that has been powder coated red, a new fender still in the box, another chrome rebuilt dashboard, front chrome fender, a couple of fabric half tops, another fan shroud, one I believe 31" tire/wheel, there are other tires I didn't mention in the garage, in a storage space I have at least 2-3 full sets of tire and wheels, random other parts, many AC parts, a distributor new.
If you watch the video you can likely pick up a few more that I didn't mention.

What I am looking for in the end is a working CJ8 that passes inspection and can be driven. I will order the body for it and have it sent to you to be prepped for mounting. In return you will receive the red CJ8 that is seen in the video with any parts left over from the first build. As you can see, I have nearly two CJ8s of parts that can be put back together. I will work with you to pay for parts.
