What's the best way for me to get a Jeep from Arizona to Louisiana. 1,400 miles. It does not run.
I don't won't to drive there and back. I'm dying to tell everyone about it but I'm keeping it under wraps until the deal is done if it gets done.

Dare I say it, but check out pirate4x4.
There is a section there about hauling where guys post there routes and what they have room for. No experience but worth checking out.....I guess....

I've used the Uship method for 3 different Jeeps now. 1 ran and the other 2 did not. I've had pretty good results with all 3. If the seller is willing to give you a decent amount of time (2 to 3 weeks) it really helps. In most cases people don't mind as long as their paid.

I have used uship 4 times with no problems. Georgia to Michigan twice ,North Florida to Georgia and Utah to Georgia. Price range $300-$500. It does help to have 2-3 weeks to work with. Good luck with the adventure!
:woohoo:

I've used UShip to haul non-running and running Jeeps, Scrambler tubs, and axles from Southern California, Oregon, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Colorado; all to Kansas. I've had great luck every time. Having a flexible time frame helps.

I have a buddy who just started a hotshot company. I'll reach out to him. Or you can borrow my trailer if you feel like making the haul.

The site yesterdaystractors.com has a listing for hauling and have seen people post for vehicle transport.

Thanks for all the reply's. I think I have it worked out. It's 1400+ miles and looks like it will cost around 1200.00. Now that the deal is done, this is what I'm hauling Home.

In 2013 it cost me $1300-1400 to get a lifted running CJ8 from Oregon to Se Pennsylvania. For a price reference. I used a broker I found in a 2006 Hemmings.

Sweet, that is a better start than what I have to work with. Is that running with seats in it and all that?

Looks like its going to cost me $1200.00 to get it home. I paid $3200.00 for the FC simply because I couldn't find any rust on it. No motor, seats or even a steering column.

My Plans? I don't know. I didn't have plans on buying one at all. BUT! I'm pretty sure it will get an LS engine of some type and a auto tranny. Being a 170 that shouldn't be a problem. I'm leaning towards staying with the patina look. I'm thinking a sleeper FC will be right at home next to Stump Jumper. I'm going to try and have a budget on this one. That's going to be $4,400.00 before I ever lay eye's on it and probably 10K more if I don't repaint it. Let the games begin.
