What is your favorite question on your Scrambler?

When I first bought mine, long, long ago, the short wheelbase guys hated them, and everybody else just didn't like Jeeps, so the question I often heard was "Why the hell would you buy that?".
15-20 years later, the same danged people were asking "Can I buy that from you?".
Another popular question I hear is "Why would you take a classic Jeep like that in the mud?".

A lady asked me the other day if Jeep just starting making it..

Why yes they did! It's brand new. In fact, this one is a test vehicle and its not even fully announced. They are going to call it the Jeep "Samurai".

My wife always asks "What broke today?" And she is serious. I hate when I actually have to give her an answer other than "Nothing today".

I jinxed myself with this post. Darn it.

I've had people say "oh I had one like that". Dropping my youngest son at a birthday party recently one of the moms walked up and told me how much she'd always admired my Scrambler. She tells me that she's got an 85 but it's a soft top and built for offroad mainly but still street legal. I'm smiling and ,yes I'll admit it, stereotyping her thinking it's her husbands and it's SOME sort of Jeep. We say goodbye and go about our day. Close to a week later guess who pulls up next to me in a BEAUTIFUL Scrambler just as she described with her husband in the passenger seat and she's driving. Light turns green, she just winks at me and off she goes. And there are some monster ponies under that hood!

Amen. Could hardly trade mine in, nobody wanted it thirty years ago. Now I want it back... :banghead:

Yeah, they'd be on lots for $1,500 less than 5's and 7's in similar shape. I would go to Bloomsburg every year, and have the only Scrambler in the show. Sometime in the 90's people suddenly started looking for them.

Stopped for breakfast one morn at a local diner. Parked near the door and sat close to where I parked. A group of 7 or so sitting close were really goose necking and mumbling about mine. I couldn't hear them but when they left they were really studying the bed area to see where I had added to it. The waitress said " They really like your Jeep don't they?" I said, They haven't got a clue what they're looking at.

I like when they say, " my ----- had one just like it it was a CJ5,6,7 or whatever they think it is.

one I forgot -"Why don't you just buy one of the new Scramblers and have the best of both worlds?"

A neighbor who was refrencing the JK8 conversions.
