Hey guys, how r u doing?

I appeal to World Cab/Overlander owners experience, as I am mounting the world cab top again to my CJ8 and I am having a hard time.

The top mounts correctly on the side panels, but i have trouble making it go down to the windshield and the upper part of the doors.
Basically, it does not fit properly and I had the CJ8 already painted….so i am pretty much screwed up.
If i attach the top too tight to the windshield it starts like cracking/bending in the middle.
Don't know what the problem could be…

Where did you pick the world cab? Was it in that condition when you picked it up? Looks great! I just started the search for a world cab .

Hello,
Do you still use the original body?or is it a replacement?

I don't have a world cab. My guess would be that the weather stripping on the front section of the cab top is thicker than before. I'd say raise the windshield up some, which I think you have room to do. But your door in the picture doesn't look like it has room to be raised, too. One way or another, the top needs to come down or the windshield and maybe the doors need to come up. You're the one to make that determination. Best of luck.

Is there a piece still on top of the windshield frame that was for a soft top, from before the hard top? If it is, it probably has to be removed for the hard top to sit right.

G'day mate. You need to notch out the windscreen frame so the roof can come down. John (above) is right, make sure you have nothing on top of the windscreen frame which could get in the way but if you have a frame that looks like thisImageUploadedByTapatalk1477308104.903801.jpg you may need to do some notching so it sits down clean. This is my CJ10 but front forment is similarImageUploadedByTapatalk1477308208.458784.jpg the blue thing is a rag stuffed up the hole to stop wind noise. I can get real time Overlander photos for you on Thursday.
