I was sick all during Thanksgiving, then house sitting the following weekend, but I finally worked on "Yard Scrambler" this past Saturday.
Picture of some of the under hood parts and pieces.
TDCing the engine install to the distributor. I am using a 1982 distributor, eliminating the computer controlled carb/timing. First picture is looking down the distributor hole, oil pump slot pointing at 11'o'clock, second picture shows the timing marks at the crank.
Installed the distributor, coil, ignition wires, spark plugs, fuel pump, and fuel line on the passenger side of the engine.
Installed the header/intake on the driver side of engine, hooked up the fuel line/filter to the carb.
Washed the hood and fenders with Purple Power, got rid of all old gunk and grime.
The driver side fender required extra scraping/scrubbing to remove the melted on epoxy. This might have been why the engine had a "miss", the ignition control module was melted to the inner fender!!!!
I installed the windshield hinges with new SS bolts and nuts. I did not reuse the Torx head screws, they suck.
