Possibly five (5) postals for sale

I worked in Alaska on the north slope for a while...

Men say "You don't lose your woman, you just lose your place in line."

Women say "Your odds are good, but the goods are odd."

Placing that unique top on a regular CJ-8 would eliminate the highly undesireable right-hand steering issue.

Highly undesireable right hand drive??? Thats one of the things that make a postal desireable... You fail.

Speak for yourself, I like my right hand drive postals.

You do? I hate mine with a burning passion! :banghead:

I can't stand driving it!

I'd never think to take it out of the garage, much less drive it from AK to NC, from NC to Windrock in TN, from MI to TN for a National, on multiple trips from MI to my office in Cincinnati, and I'd most certainly NEVER, EVER consider hooking an old Bantam trailer to it and driving from MI to Moab and back for next year's Scrambler Owners Association 11th National Event (which is good because it's definitely not a Scrambler, after all).

I don't know how you'd ever put up with it.

This reminds me of the time I was researching Ford diesel vehicles that are only available overseas, and trying to figure out a way to legally register one in the U.S., because they offered small diesel engine and 6spd manual transmissions. Then I started thinking about how dumb of an idea is it to buy a vehicle that includes the steering wheel on the wrong side of the vehicle. -I mean, it'd be great if I was also driving on the opposite side of the road, but we don't do that in the U.S. However, I later identified that Ford diesel vehicles delivered to Spain included left-hand steering. Unfortunately, I never figured out how to legally register one.

Maybe I'm missing it, but what's so great about driving on the wrong side of the vehicle in the United States...Is there a "cool factor" to backing into the bank teller booth, or the fast-food drive thru, or toll booths, or mail drop boxes, or...etc. The only thing I can think of would be that first occasion of being pulled over by police and snickering as he walks up to the correct side of the vehicle, finds you're on the wrong side, and has to walk back around to check your credentials.

The cop situation does sound fun. Other than getting a ticket. I can't respond to the drive thru situation as I can imagine it would take a loud voice and long arms. ;-)

It is more about the unique factor for me.

Its not because its "cool"... Its a classic and VERY RARE vehicle. If you dont want one, thats fine. Just because you dont see the appeal of it, it doesnt make it "highly undesirable".

If I had the time to mod this picture it would say "undesirable posts and poster ahead"

I mean everyone is subject to their opinion. God knows I have mine... But It looks like trolling to me

I have to admit that:

made me laugh out loud.

I honestly love the banter and the inside jokes about the "Scrambler", I just hope no one takes it too seriously and gets bent out of shape. :fingerscrossed:

I just reach across at the bank teller, toll both etc. CJ's are quite narrow MM. Have you ever sat in one ?
