I can only imagine what that must be like. 47C for me at work a couple days ago. I think I aged about 5 years in a day.

Wow, that is quite a swing... about 123F or 51C difference between your neck of the woods to here.
I still think I want the cold, cause 116F is WAAAAY to hot for me.

You're welcome! Warmed up here almost a degree a minute for 15 minutes last night. Still cold, though. The lake seems higher than my road today - kind of creepy. Big waves splashing up on the shore ice - you can see the spray, and it is supposed to get bigger and snowier later today and tonight. Had 50mph gusts most of the night.:eek:

Getting ready to cross to the far end past the boats under cover in the distance, carrying more solar panels for the house...jan14.jpg For those that have been here, you can see that the lake is crowding the trees in places. Higher now than in the summer.
 
Wow. Would be cool to come up now to see what it's about in winter. Is the ferry running at all or are y'all stuck out there?

Trying to mount the solar panels now or waiting for warmer weather?
 
Come up anytime! All frozen and Arctic now. The ferry runs all year, same schedule. The Drummond Community is talking of hosting a winter jeep event, grooming some trails just for jeeps. Right now you can run about anywhere - just enough snow to make it interesting!

Hoping to mount the panels soon - trying to find a window in the weather. Too cold and/or too windy, too snowy, etc.
 
Yep and I'm gunna just keep on teasing you guys as way of trying to keep you warm. :wave: :cheers: :sunsetbeers: (made that up too)

I had to run out and grab a tarp big enough to cover the trailer late last night so it would be dry for tomorrow's attempt.

We just got 6 inches. I was stuck last year in the snow. Didn't realize the hole was this deep. 41 inch tires and front bumper is on the ground. Once I winched to get the front end out, the back climbed up without the winch.


 
Just cleaned up from another couple last night on top of all day yesterday... another 18 supposedly coming on Tuesday, winter took its time getting here, but the last couple of weeks made it known that it is still a force to be reckoned with.
