Nice bringing this thread backI just took an up-to-the-minute condition of my bench pic... and it's just as messy as usual :/

That's not messy...... that's organized and efficient!
I got married a few weeks ago. The wife came in with all these crazy demands right after the wedding....
"Get your tools out of the pantry! It's a pantry! Those belong in the shop!"
"Get that winch out of the den floor! That belongs in the shop!"
"Why are there 4wheeler parts (bearings) in the freezer? Those belong in the shop!"
So needless to say, my shop just became a dumping ground for a ton of stuff that has been nicely distributed elsewhere. I can't see the workbench, and can barely get in the door.
She also nixed me working on the 4wheeler engine in my nice warm usual spot (in the den, on the coffee table). I put cardboard down to keep from scratching the table, but NOOOOOO, not in the house.![]()

Okay, I'm mostly (but only mostly) kidding.
I changed my oil last week and when I put the dip stick back in, the top of the plastic piece pretty much disintegrated. Hopefully not sending too many small pieces into the oil pan
There are many threads debating whether this would be a problem, but I have seen one picture showing the bits being stopped by the oil pickup. Now begins the delicate task of pulling the 15 year old one out without dropping more pieces in

Tonight, my oldest actually asked what the difference was in a screw driver and some wrench things and why I have to weld or "melt" metal.
My fingers are crossed that she wants to learn more.

I know I get a bad rap around here for being happily not married and married to 50+ Jeeps but it brings a tear to my eye when my 3 yr old niece draws a jeep for the first time and grabs the steering wheel of the J-10 and says take me for a ride. And now I have a 9
month old adorable nephew too.
doesn't mean it can't happen someday :-)
Hah! So THATS how you do it! I've been scratching my head reading some of your threads/posts wondering how in the billio does this dude have have that much time/money/space/time to be the keeper of the jeeps. NO KIDS OR WIFE! Watershed moment.
