You can swap 5 bolt hubs from an 82

It's not that the hubs are weak, but the bolts loosen or fall out. At the National this past weekend, I saw one broke hub due to loose bolts shearing off in the hub, and another hub that had bolts fall out:shrug:

Yep. I've never had any problems with the Warns or Superwinch 5 bolt hubs, but then again I've never had any come loose.

My stock hubs failed....discovered they wouldn't lock after driving into a muddy grass field to pull out a lawnmower. Not only could I not pull out the mower, but had to have someone come pull the Jeep out as well.

Talk about embarrassing.

Threadlock cured all my loosening bolt problems!

Anyone seen my heater speed control switch its gone AWOL!

Race to finish cleaning and repainting my trailer this weekend to pick up this. 1971 DJ-5B body tub. Can anyone else see a metal scrambler top in this?

I can see it. And if you swap windshield frames and with a little fab you can have an up right greenhouse look, like a Cj6 look but a longer 8.

Thats the plan. Use my original windshield frame and cut and fab this up to fit like a regular hard top. Keeping the barn door option as well. We'll see how it goes.

Whats going on over here lately . I'm almost afraid to work now with all these accidents

Sent from my SM-N910P

So I have a Dodge Cummins tow rig to haul the Scrambler....
Looks like I've been doing it wrong!!!

I towed a mini cooper home the other night for a friend with the CJ5... the Crank Position Sensor went out and was making all sorts of racket... it was fun to use the old girl for some towing, she never had done that before.

as in the old rope tow trick??

Yup, the same one I employed back in 1990 when I neglected to tighten my battery cable up and couldn't get it started... got towed home by an older gent and when I got home, he taught me a very valuable lesson about always remembering what you had done earlier and double checking to make sure that you put things back the same way... he helped fix the battery so it all worked out... funny home 25 years later I was able to help in the same manner.
