Just back from front end work and alignment. Rear main is leaking bad, but first time on the road in 3 years.

Spent an hour on the side of the road waiting for a tow. Did not have a spare coil. Grrr. I just replaced it over the winter. Broke down in the same spot as last time too. Not going to that shopping center again. I swear.

Well..... I recon I can come pick it up on my dime and give you $12.50 cash for it! :evil: :shrug:

Could it be a heat soak problem or vapor lock? Will it start after letting it cool down? :wave:
 
It still won't start. I have 12v at the wire going into the coil and no spark coming out.
 
does an 84 use a 12v coil? 83's had a six volt (resistor in the wiring harness).
 
Mine is a 12v HEI for a 75 Camaro. At least that is what I tell the folks at "generic auto parts place".

Job for today... get this stuff cleaned up so I can get back to the body work... wife asked what I wanted for Father's Day and I said garage time... then some burritos later... heading out in a few.

I have had a run of good luck the last few weeks... I was dry for a very long time on seats and for some reason seats and dash pads have popped up... no complaints.

My cleaning is done... sans burrito due to kids not exactly behaving and listening... so we can't go and subject them onto unsuspecting patrons.

cleaned all the stuff...last one, mud flap... they are nasy
