Click the link, key in your zip code, and it will pull up stores in your area, pricing, and what their system says they have on hand.

Most around here are still at $89/tire, but there are several at $59/tire.

Normally I use the "view barcode" on my phone, have the associate scan the barcode with their handheld, and they will see the quantity on hand matches what brickseek says they have on hand.

Not sure how good the tires are, but for $59 each for new tires......

I stumbled across this last week and started searching. Found 4 45 miles away on Saturday. Found 1 more 75 miles away on Sunday. Almost had my buddy in Tennessee buy the ones I found there. I was putting in the zip codes of everyone I know. Ha
Good Luck!

I went to my local Walmart that showed 2 in stock. They had 0. :(
I called two more. One showed 3 in stock the other showed 6 in stock. When I called neither of those stores had any either.:banghead:

Is there something I am missing here? Anyone else go on this fun wild goose chase also?

One of our local stores showed 5 in stock, went a couple of weeks ago and 0 in stock. That site still shows 5 in stock.

Trick is, pull the page up on brickseek, then pull up the barcode. Find someone, preferably a yellow vest, and ask them to use their handheld to scan the barcode. Their scanner will show the same on-hand quantity as brickseek. Then ask them to look in the back. They will either not find them because they were stolen, or because they are too lazy to look, or they will show up with them. Sometimes the employees hide stuff in the back for their family and friends. Folks in the tire and battery department might be hiding them for themselves to resell, or for friends, so it doesn't hurt to find a yellow vest (manager) who is not in that particular department, then ask them to help find the tires. Hard for the tire counter to say "We don't have them" to a manager who just verified that they show X number in stock.

You'd be surprised at how mad some employees get when another employee digs out something they've stashed away. I got some Bushnell Trophy Binoculars and a Nikon Buckmaster scope last year that were both marked down to $30. Both were hidden waaaay up in the corner under the sporting goods counter. The guy who had apparently hidden them got quite flustered when he saw another employee digging them out as he walked up.

So do you think the brickseek inventory is current? My lady went upstairs after showing two in stock but then came down empty handed after about 3 or 4 minutes later. Doesn't mean they weren't up there...

BrickSeek shows several in my area at $30. but they are all $140. And BrickSeek says right on their page they are not responsible and do not guarantee pricing, nor that it should be used for reference.

In my experience, brickseek is 100% accurate when compared to what the store inventory system shows on hand.

Just keep in mind that the UPC has to match, so for example, the 10W40 Mobil 1 Motorcycle oil I got for $3 a quart was mixed in with the $10/quart 10W40 Mobil 1 Motorcycle oil that was the exact same, except for the UPC code (new packaging, I assume). I had to look at the UPC's and pick out the ones that matched the clearance UPC on brickseek.

Pull up the barcode on your phone, run it under the "can't find a price, check here" scanners they mount on poles throughout the stores. It will show up at $30. More than likely the employee is pulling up the wrong tire, possibly even the right tire, but using the wrong UPC.

Items have different UPC codes on them for whatever reason, sometimes even when it's the exact same item. The Mobil 1 I mentioned above being one.

Another example if the Rotella T5 10W30 that was clearanced a few weeks ago.

This one was on sale, $11 for a 2.5 gallon jug. UPC 021400402713

https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=54605055

This one rang up at $43.97 jug Same oil. UPC 021400041431

https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=36142649

A stores inventory can be off due to theft, or if an employee doesn't ring things up properly (for example, locally there were a bunch of shotgun shells marked down, and apparently my local store had a cashier who rang up full, 10 box cases by scanning the outer carton, which charged the customer for ONE box of shells, as opposed to the 10 boxes inside the carton, so inventory still showed 9, and the customer paid for 1 box, even though 10 walked out the door).

I have yet to find a single instance where the price and on hand quantity at a store did not match what brickseek showed when the barcode was actually scanned. Finding the item in the store (if it's still there) is the challenge.

I bought a couple sets. Barcode is the Key. They struggle to find them in the system. They need to type it exactly like this:
31x10.50R15

They will tell you the above is wrong, then they do it and say "wow, how did you know that".

I would say the inventory is usually good- but the tires are seldom bunched together- they need to spend some time to find them- I actually offer to do it for them and often they let me.

I find most locations don't answer the phone or don't spend anytime actually looking, I do better when I go to the store.

When it says they have limited stock it is usually 1.
