Sanding, scuffing, 2k epoxy primer, and finally Raptor. Of course, right as I started spraying the wind came up and leaves started to fall. But all’s well that ends well. It came out nice, although a 4 Liter kit didn’t give nearly as thick a covering as I thought. But I like the look and let’s get real, I’m not going to use this as a truck anymore either. So, here’s a couple pics from after-

When I sprayed mine there were no leaves....just sweat from my bald head dripping onto it. Did you use their gun or an HVLP and reducer?

I used their gun. Got the pressure right pretty quick. It went on well, actually easier than I thought. I used the final bottle for an over all “mist” coat to get the texture all even.
I used a cheapo Harbor Freight HVLP gun for the epoxy primer. For &13.99 with the coupon it actually sprayed the primer extremely well. Now I need to topcoat the LizardSkin and get to bolting parts back on!

I did the interior with their gun around 65-70 psi and did my half top in white with the harbor freight purple gun, just to see how it would do. both about the same. I I really like that stuff.

Made a little more progress over the weekend. Put some top coat on the LizardSkin, and got the roll bar set in. Special bolts coming Tuesday. Been busy looking after our German Shepherd Bella- she had hip replacement surgery Tuesday.

Starting to look a little more like a Scrambler!8454E0DC-5EA9-4C32-8D03-FC494B5879DA.jpegD908ED08-C2DB-4EDB-8413-5ADBF89A770B.jpeg1820AF3C-8CA8-41B0-8A58-D8A48C57C058.jpeg

Also put the bulkhead in for the heater and ac lines.

Damn it's looking great! Got any pics that show the bell housing and engine to firewall clearance? A buddy is using my hoist so when I get it back I'm doing what i hope is final fit up on the engine and trans and burning them in.

Since I need to spend all day making sure Bella is not moving too much and not chewing her incision, I’ve been looking for “inside” work to do. After ordering more parts I started on the harness. I got it cleaned up and all the plugs labeled today. Tomorrow the thinning starts.

Yes, Carol knows I’m working on car parts in the kitchen!?

Having a day-long marathon of Count’s Kustoms on tv worked out nicely!

That Dymo label maker is the schiznitz. Have the same one  I got addicted to the printable heat shrink tubing for labels when making up wires where I add my own connectors. Wiped out a cartridge of it when I did the power distribution block under the dash :rotfl:
