SJScrambler - Getting Started

The new shop has been slowed by the weather definitely... it will happen, just not as soon as I would like... but once it is done, and wall hangers abound, I will give a virtual tour.

That hardtop is very rare...only had 1 of those in like 20 plus years. The unique doors with lower glass and they seal up A CJ5 very well!EEF4AB08-77A2-468F-BE1E-7C92627AB9F4.jpeg

From the category of OMFG WHY!?!??!?!?!
One of the nicest backs to a dashpad I have ever removed.
I knew about the 2 holes near the steering column and the glue/paste on top, but the front?

I just don't get what people are thinking.
So, back on the tear down... hopefully getting a few more in the next couple weeks... and another project that I don't need, but all good.

I need some $$$ to help pay for the goodies in the new place.

That’s where the plow guy put the notes with push pins for the addresses of his accounts.

Nah, the note had the mileage when the gas tank was last filled so they would know when to fill up next.

The rarely seen lesser spotted dash pad worm strikes again!. Be careful it may still be in there 😁

This thing definitely was a lot more rough than I had thought... I knew the frame was bad, but it is literally disintegrating when I take it apart... body as well... it was better as it had a hard top, but all in all, not a ton of meat on this bone.

Definitely one of the more rusty/crusty ones...

The rear cross member fell off, the body mounts were all not attached and the rear frame rails are gonzo.

Trust me, I am itching to get back to it... the storage/space has been an issue during the "shop upgrade" process... and the weather has been so unpredictable, they can't finish things up... i.e. pour the floor, due to frost.

It will not be built in the existing garage, it will be built in the new shop which hopefully will be completing in the next month or so.
