What's on your Work Bench?

It comes with 2 pcs of rubber to protect the paint. I used both for the top one to protect both top and bottom as I have the Rhino lining on the lower part of the bar. Rubber is for the top section only I guess.

Not on the bench, but have been building workbenches in my son’s barndominiom that he moved into last month. This is a gun bench and future reloading we built this weekend out of used cabinets that I’d saved years ago.

I love that. My hi lift has a similar bond to me: I bought it in Australia about 25 years ago. I've had it on all my Land Cruisers ever since. It's been all over Australia and now all over America.

I found a pic of the same Jack on my HJ47 shortly after I brought it over the first time. This was in about 97. You can see the Aussie plate behind my NM plate.

No. It was a kit. I had to do a lot of fabricating though so 'kit' was really a generous term for the stuff I bought. It wound up basically being home made but turned out well. I had a full camper inside: water, fridge, stove, inverter, etc.

That is a cool rig. Any idea how much weight just the top added ?
 
Not a lot. About 250 lbs without the rack. That added maybe another 200. I took it down Bridal Veil Falls in Telluride numerous times and was never uncomfortable. Moab, Engineers Pass. All good. OME lift, stock axles with lockers. Turbo diesel/5 speed and eventually vortec 350/5 speed.
 
Just as an aside, this was my LX. I also brought her over from Australia. Had this one for 15 years and the HiLift was on the back of her too.... of all the cars I've sold, I miss her the most.

Nice one to let go. Back around 74 my brother had the 4 door version, by the time he got it, someone had put a Chevy 350 in it.
