Sunny Delight - now Shelly 2.0

Today was a productive day. Got the console installed as well as another windshield pull. I’m thinking one final “tweak” pull in a few days and it’ll be done. Next step would be installing the full soft top.

I also got all the seat brackets and sliders cleaned up and painted ready for install

The windshield is in its final resting spot! Patience is key with these pulls. Tomorrow I hope to get the full soft top installed while I still have the heat on my side for stretching purposes

I also got around to installing the rear fixed seat and passenger seat. Rugged Ridge has come out with what they call “Factory Look” reclining front seats. I also picked up a matching rear seat. I can say this. The seats are comfortable for what they are. I have no complaints about the rear. The front seats also recline which was a big plus for me and are comfortable.

However I do feel they sit higher than the originals. Especially since I added a slider to the seat. For me and my family this really won’t be a big deal but for those folks taller than me (5’9”) it might get a little tight.

I’ll get better pics soon

A tilt column will help.

Full soft top install. This little heater has been used so many times to help with this over the years. Decent amount of stretching to be done due to the top being folded up in storage for over a year. It’s not as far off as the rear sail panels reflect. They angle back quite a bit as most of you know.

It’s only 60 degrees in the garage at the moment. Cool breeze outside with a high of 70 later today. I’ll close up the garage now to retain some heat.
