I am using a 02 Tacoma rear axle for my new build, and a chevy44 up front cut down 4 inches. Both are 6lug pattern.

Long side only, this axle is better than a wagoneer because you don't have to outboard springs.

I run the same front axle that was cut down, used a 82 waggy axle shaft which is about 4 inches shorter. My rear is a 94 honda passport axle, its a dana 44 with disc brakes and 6 lug to match the front.

I bought my son this 94 YJ when he was 15, needed fenders ans a windshield. It was a 4 cyl originally, previous owner installed a 4.0 with an AW4. He drove it for a couple of years and sold it, he regrets selling it now.

I run an isuzu 44 rear which also gets you rear disc, for the front I used a 79 cherokee chief wide track cut down 4 inches on long side. This axle does not have to be outboarded because of pinion placement, also you can use a stock 82 waggy axle on long side instead of have axle custom cut...
