like Sunshine said bench bleed the master, the problem usually is the wheel cylinder bleeder valves break off because they rust up. Soak them good in liq wrench or your fav stuff and then soak them again. Be light with the wrench when loosening them and you may be ok... good luck!

what year is your Scrambler. do you have drums all around now Do you have power brakes now If drums all around have you tried adjusting them, and I mean jacking up the truck and adjusting them that way vs the "automatic" in reverse way?
