1983 Scrambler "STUMP JUMPER". Frame off, 5.3 Conversion.

I think I need to disable "torque Management".
I disabled anything I didn't need.
Spankrjs... I've considered d
some type of drive shaft containment device. In all honesty I don't drive it that hard often.

Thanks to Errik, mysunnshine, I now have five fine looking chrome wheels. I couldn't be happier with the wheels. Daisy, my dog, is ready to ride again. My black rims had Michelin tire with about 2,000 miles but they were 16" and Michelin doesn't make the tire I wanted in 15" so I bought the Goodyear Wranglers. Like everything else on Stump Jumper I buy it all twice. Cha-Ching.

I really like the way it looks. The chrome wheels set of the stripes and "Scrambler" decal nicely.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I think I'm approaching the sleeper look that I'm after. I like cute screamers. LOL

Yes your stump jumper really looks good with the chrome wheels. Usually I don't like them, but it looks good here!

I scored these last week. Perfect inside and out. One made in 1953 the other in 1952.

I've been asked a couple time, Why would I restore it so original and add the 4x4 and stripes decal. As I have mentioned before, the 4x4 and stripes were original when this CJ8 was sold. The best explanation I can come up with is it was probably a dealer installed option. But this is the way this Scrambler left the dealer. I just put the chrome wheels on.

I broke down and ordered the Hydro boost brake system yesterday. Now I need to order the torque converter. Projects are never finished.

Stump Jumper is getting and interior upgrade. These are Best Buy seats that I had recovered and the center console was just lying around here.
The center inserts have red perforated holes but they really don't show well in the picture.
