1984 Scrambler (Medicine Lodge)

I got the same thing, but thinking I was in a 3rd world country, maybe that was the problem.

Few photos from the dry ice blasting.

Removed engine, trans & t-case, plus the remaining brake lines and calipers.
Only had the motor mount bolts to loosen so thought why not, going to replace mounts or possibly go with a M.O.R.E. bombproof kit i have on hand.

We then wiped down the entire chassis with lacquer thinner then sprayed it all with Blackstar rust converter.
Pretty pleased with how it came out. Plan to let it cure out a few days and then do some test spots with Cosmoline RP-342 black as a top coat.

After applying the Cosmoline RP-342 black to a few small parts I decide it's not what I want for the entire chassis.
It went on easy, covered well and had nice look but it remains tacky and would leave a residue on you if touched.
Decided to just hose the entire chassis with implement gloss black paint.

Now to start on all the small misc. parts.
Shock towers and steering box mounts, sand blasted and then Blackstar applied, 24 hour wait period before painting.
