4XE vs 392 Wrangler

Well, I did a thing again . . .

Ordered her on 1/23, order confirmed 1/28, scheduled 1/29, in production 2/9, built 2/14, at dealer 3/7.

Family went to Lincoln City, Oregon for spring break, so we were not able to pick it up until yesterday.

So far, I am loving it. Deep down in my heart I knew I wanted the 392, with the recent 4xe issues and the neutering of the performance to protect a poor battery design I decided it was time to do the right thing. I kinda have this place to blame. When Ed was asking about the Gladiators, someone mentioned the 392 was being put in one. I then discovered that Reign was once again available. That led me to find a used ‘23 in Reign for sale. Test drove it, wanted one, dealer wanted too much for a 3 year old car with 30,000 miles, so I ordered one.

So far, I have installed a bulletpoint mount for my phone, installed the no limitz module, dash camera, rockstopper ppf for hinges. Have nxtgen grab handles on order and my better half has asked for steps. Probably going for the rock slide steps.

I need to figure out how to mount the front plate, the factory style plate flipper that goes over the winch is just not doing it for me.

I designed a mount that uses the skid plate bolts under the bumper. It's kind of hidden but isn't as bad in person. I just hated the look of it on the front bumper. One day I might put a winch on.
However... IF they come out with a V8 Gladiator, I may just get one of those with a winch already installed, you know, to save buying a winch and the install time... :ROFLMAO: :headbang: IMG_1764.jpeg

The only thing to think about when purchasing a new Jeep with the factory installed Warn is that it is an 8k winch with a smaller spool = less length of rope.

A thing of beauty! Love it.
