Likewise and thank you BW, sometimes i wonder why i bother with limited time and resources but someone had to do it and i do enjoy it really!

The seemingly never ending body work continues on, with a tailgate temporarily bolted up to check for fitment, (i am aware that the hinges are upside down ) extra drain holes punched in to the CE rear cross member and then that rear end finally tweaked, clamped and mostly welded up.
Nice to get that welded in, thats quite a chunk of metal repaired...

Actually, I think your hinges are right side up; It's your tub you've got upside down.

I think it looks great... I know how you are feeling as it seems like forever to get here, but you are truly very far along... get some more done, flip it over, slap it on the frame and you are done

Thanks CB much appreciated, It is ever so slowly getting there.
That rear tub cross member went in a lot,lot easier than i expected it would and the CE part fit like a dream. Wheel arches, which as you are finding out yourself are going to take a while to patch and then a few random holes here and there and it will be getting near done.
Lee who is assisting and doing the welding reckoned on about 12 to 14 days work and we have used up 8 days so far i think, so not going too bad at all.

I have needed more space for ages and when i found out the workshop behind me was becoming vacant then i jumped on it.
Rent costs have gone up but i now have loads of room for Jeeps and can even get my trailer in out of the weather.
Going to be loads better!

Thank you CB for the surprise gift!, I will find a more permanent position for them at some point as i also have a rusty grill and even rustier hood to also hang up as wall art when i get chance.

Found the original CJ6 steering wheel whilst moving, just a bit of a difference. to the Grant wheel installed when the power steering went in!.
Looks like i have some more wall art to hang up!

Well after what feels like an eternity of welding, making bits of floor/transmission tunnel and getting rid of holes that shouldnt be there this thing is nearly ready to take back to my workshop.
There is a world of sanding to do but there isn't really that much left to do now before i can finally take it home

Its taken a while but its finally made it back in to my workshop
First job was stick the roll bar in so i can lift it to get it off the trailer on my own (luckily it still fits) then throw the fenders and hood on so i can pretend its nearly finished....
All body mount bolts still lined up which is amazing after the surgery she has had, so well happy.
Time to have a test build, see what i am missing and do some serious sanding of all this welding in between as and when i feel like it.

Couple of issues i have come across.
1: I seem to have an issue/clash of RHD steering shaft with my radiator outlet which is on the same side as the steering shaft so i cannot put the hose on without it rubbing on the steering UJ.



2: In my quest to get the front propshaft clear of the 4L60E pan i must of moved it across a little too much or clocked the transfer case to somewhere new and the bolt that holds the D300 shifter is catching the side of the tub.
To help with both i have ordered a 1" body lift, will have another look at these once i install that.

Other than the above the heater and steering column went back in, i had a RHD dash laser profiled that seems to fit okay and i can now get the last pipes made up for the brakes to the master cylinder.
I can see the electrics are going to be quite time consuming mixing the Chevy bits in with the Jeep parts and lots to think about with ECU position etc.
I do keep on sanding bits off bits of welding in between fitting things, just trying to spread the monotony of doing that out a bit!.
