Got to get it back in the tub without scratching either that or the tub now though 🙀
Bubble wrapped feet is the order of the day i suspect.

Thankfully i kept the 4L60E then!..

Luckily I have gravity on my side to help with the bleeding, the problems may arise as every pipe and joint has been hand formed and swaged by me, sometimes in a tight spot so it doesn't always go to plan.:oops:
 
Well that certainly didn't go to plan!, bit of a leak on the rear axle T piece, sorted that with a nipping up of the fittings and then a proper puddle apperaed under the Wilwood proportional valve.

Nipped up the inlet side as there was a weep there. but no real difference so i climbed underneath and then i noticed the middle line feeding one side of the front brakes was cross threaded and leaking.
So i undid it to thread it in properly but seeing as the Wilwood valve is aluminium and the fitting is steel you can guess what happened, Yep it stripped the threads on the way out...
So it looks like its time for a new proportional valve and another litre of brake fluid whilst i mop up the rest of the unwanted brake fluid feature i have created.
Lesson learned to look properly next time :banghead:
 
One of the most frustrating things I've found getting older is my eyes. I screw up the simplest things sometimes now for lack of readers. The number of times I've thought 'nah, I don't need my cheaters' and gone ahead only to eventually go get them and do the project over. Even with them I just don't see little details like I once did. Bewildering.
 
Hell getting old is all. I have to wear them now. Luckily distance seeing is still pretty good
 
Distance is still 20/20 for me, which is good in my profession. But for readers I'm up to 2.0. Only 4 years ago I didn't even need them.
I have so many pairs scattered around now that my wife reckons my goal is to always have them within arm's reach.
 
Whats the saying " The man who never made a mistake,never made anything" New prop valve should be with me this week.

Made some progress elsewhere on this thing though, its slowly going back together.
Thats a new washer bottle from Crown i think it was? actually appears okay in quality, bit fiddly assembling it though you need to tighten a filter on to the motor through the filling hole.
Tested before installing and looks loads better than the old one, just no AMC moulded in it but its not exactly original this Jeep so no problem to me!.

Heater, steering column and pedals all present, brake one to be tested fully yet!., Rugged Ridge mats i like they fit well even in this one.

Battery tray and some wiring tidied up (a little), I need to make an extra support for the battery tray, my other 8 has 2 braces, a little one that goes to the fender and a longer one that goes to the tub, i can only find the little stumpy one, not sure if its ever had 2.

Been busy so not much happening, but i did find some Bestop seats on Ebay that are in far better condition than those poor Laredo ones that were in it. Seem comfy enough and are a far better colour to go with my paint scheme.
