I forgot I had this picture. From 1972 during my Military Police training, this was my introduction to the Jeep, the Machine gun and off roading. I took the picture. I got orders to Vietnam soon after but a week later the President announced we were pulling out. so I never went.
So a little thing like a hood flying up ain't chit. I've been a lucky man all my life.

Dumped a couple ounces of gas and a jump box and it fired up, I like them to turn over a little longer to build oil pressure before starting. Brakes still working and clutch also working. The cat was sleeping on the tire apparently. Tarp and straps are in the cab and cover is on. Sitting beside shop. I'll take a picture tomorrow.

It's amazing how steep the sand can build. Had fun with Blue yesterday and Red held her own today. Pretty much had the Dunes to myself. A little Erie and you start hearing all kinds of strange noises when your by yourself.

IF IF IF I was ever to do another Jeep I would build this one with a M60 Airsoft mounted in the rear. This is the only pictures I took that day, I was kinda busy since we were in the middle of war games. If you look close at that gun we were shooting blanks.
That picture of me and my ONE medal. lol Oh, I did leave the army as Sgt Haydel.

Maybe BigWalton can start a "Calendar Photo" thread, with some guidelines as to content, file size, resolution, etc... it will be tough to pick just twelve photos, but it will surely inspire a lot of us to get out in the elements and take some fun pictures!
And... maybe some of us who don't make the cut for the calendar, will still find honorable mention in the magazine....
