Not a Scrambler, but son of Scrambler

Daddy CJ-8 has 250K+ miles on it.

Junior ( my LJ) did this on the way to work this morning. (Ignore that yellow light. Put a new O2 sensor and it stayed off for about 100 mi.

My grandson installed an "APP" on my phone called "Speed Box" to give exact speed from GPS signals. Works great as a temporary fix to keep you out of trouble.

So I used my GPS speedo on the way home from work. And wow. Now my stock speedo gauge is accurate. It used to be 10mph low at 65. So it would read 55 when doing 65. All the way home it held true to the GPS speedo. I guess that is thanks to the gears.

Awesome GIF. If I get back home tonight without incident, I will claim success. ....

And retighten the suspension nuts/bolts tomorrow. ;)
Dain. I'm just hoping you'll make it through the weekend with out any more stitches or loss of body parts. LOL
Be Careful!

Ha. Ha.

Thanks Dennis. So far so good. Not much planned for the weekend. If anything, I will try to get the yoke off of the old front axle to swap onto the "new" front axle so that I can install the front driveshaft and have 4wd. But no rush. I am just trying to enjoy the ride.

Was it for sale ? Why did he pass? [emoji41]Oh my that's a beautiful original. I faintly remember the trim rings in the wheels in one posted but don't recall a for sale post

Wasn't for sale, he just liked the vehicle when I showed him a pic in a pm.
Tyre cover looks like it's off a Jap import I reckon. May have cut a dealer sign to fit :dunno:

A few cell phone pix from the April Action Car Show today in Moab. There were quite a few old Jeeps...some CJs that looked like they came right off the dealer showroom floor...and a few Willys pickups. I was able to grab these shots of a couple, but the crowds were so thick that I couldn't get shots of any of the others. The Woody had beautiful woodwork inside and out. Just about everything inside was wood...except for the seats. The dash was wood...console was wood...etc. It was a YJ, not sure of the year...I think it said '87 (borderline AMC)...so I hope I don't get busted by the Picture Police.

The Picture Police are watching but have decided to let you off this once. Only cause we like red and wood (oops did I say that out loud?)

First spring drive after being in winter storage.

Been too long since we've been in Jackson. Used to be one of our yearly vacation destinations when we lived in Utah. I've got to get back there sometime soon- maybe this summer. Was it Snake River Brewing that has the awesome wood fired pizza?

Snake River Brewery has good pizza and my favorite is Pinky G's just a few blocks from SRB.
