I don't know what's gotten in to me... it's not like I don't have enough to keep me busy already... but lately I've had a craving for an old John Deere tractor.
I want to use it as a centerpiece for a vintage ag-themed showroom (not quite a museum) in my store, and maybe take it out a few times a year for parades, etc.
I found a beautiful '37 Model B fairly close to me, but it turns out that the axle is too wide to fit through my 6' wide front door. I'd have to cut the axles shorter, and then remove the intake and exhaust stacks every time I wanted to move it in and out of the building.

So, I started looking for something just as vintage, but more compact. After some searching, I found a '36-ish Model BO orchard tractor, which looks perfect for my needs!

Everything is lower and narrower on the orchard tractor so it can drive underneath and between the trees, which also makes it just right for driving through a commercial entry door!
This tractor is up in Portland, so I've got to figure out how to get it down to NorCal, but I'm pretty excited about adding it to my collection of time wasters and bank account drainers.
