Last night I had a guy come by and grab some parts who had never been here before and drove up in a painters van and paint covered overalls. After he bought some things he asked if I wanted a beer. Out came a fosters oil can. 25.4 ounces. I pretended to drink it at the pace he was but just couldn't. He left and I nursed it further. I did finish it - and I then got my IPA kick and went to dinner. That was the first time a random unknown guy offered beer after buying parts. Even more random was his offering -- the college novelty fosters oil can which I hadn't had in 15 plus years. It's made in Texas btw under supervision from OZ.....
I have been having a few of the Rogue Oatmeal Stouts each night for the past few. Oh and one Sweet Baby Jesus as well on Wednesday. No pics though. Sorry.
Bell's 30th Anniversary Imperial Stout. One of the biggest beers I've ever had, and that's saying something. Lots going on. Great coffee notes very full bodied, just awesome.
First garage night in forever it seems with the Lions/Packers, some neighbor guys, Jeeps and Dissenter IPA aged a year.
Yum-my.
Stopped at a favorite place Jersey knows on the way home due to a mini traffic jam in town and tried a Bitter Old Fecker "Strutter" IPA which had too much honey note to it, only had a 3 oz serving after the guy mentioned the honey:
Then made up for it with a Founders Backwoods Bastard. Very heavy bourbon front on a Scotch ale, which I typically don't like, but the bourbon really makes it work.
