Been a while since we had a Beer thread...

Sunday lunch, no snow on the ground, warmish for early January, Jets on the outdoor radio. This is a very good IPA made in PA. It's one of the hoppiest IPAs I have had in the 6-7 percent ABV range.

Another little bit of progress deserved a beer or two. Had a Kilt Flasher earlier while a neighbor was over. Now having a Yuengling Porter. Pretty good.

And celebrating my parts arrivals tonight.

Again, I am starting to feel like I have a drinking "problem". It will pass.

I wouldn't recommend the one above its a bit weak and tries to be a session IPA in taste but not in ABV.

Tonight's selection isn't that great either. It was a Christmas present. It's not an IPA tho so it may actually be a good "winter ale"

Got REALLY excited when I found this today. I desperately love beer on nitro and one of my all time favorite beers was Abbot Ale back when they still had the nitro widget (they stopped doing it)

A little disappointed in the execution. No hop bite at all and it's flatter than the other widget beers I've had. Taste isn't bad and if it didn't call itself an IPA, it wouldn't be as big an issue. It would still be a good everyday beer except the price. It's just not worth what I had to pay, maybe at half the price.

Unfortunate.

Guinness Stout is awesome. I see no need for them to branch out into other beers. And was not excited when I saw an ad for the IPA. I now see no need to even try it based on your review.

I agree! Had it last week very disappointed.

Still haven't installed the ebrake cables. The equalizer came in today. So I will celebrate with a porter.

was the beer good and true, a bone to be chewed when the "Gales of November" came early?

Reference to the Gordon Lightfoot song? I have not heard it in a while. I have blocked it from my memory.

But it is a good porter.

Yes, I heard it the other day, it had been probably 15 years or more since I heard it.

I used to hear it at 8:30 every morning as the local classic rock station played their playlist so that you could tell time by it. It was a bit annoying.

Now to celebrate that the rear brakes are "DONE", i am having this vanilla porter from Breckenridge Brewery
