It was a Real Rider series. Had black, blue, and silver. I have all the colors

This series are second on my list to get after all of the Stomper Jeeps. Those are so awesome.
 
I have a spreadsheet of all versions ever made by Hot Wheels, including the ones from India that I know about. (Leo Mattel)
 
On it was that fateful day in 1975 when his parents gave him the Tonka Jeep Explorers set that sent him down a path of bloody knuckles, frustration and poverty interspersed with moments of pure Zen.

Lol, he wishes. Instead, once upon a time, ling ago, he worked for the company that produced the wings and aft fuselage section of the F-22. Then he went on to find his true calling in railroading.

I was lucky also, working for the company that assembled it all together, but a different division.
 
I found this little gem in the clearance bin at Tractor Supply. Not Hot Wheels or Matchbox but a good grab at 4 bucks.WW2 Willys matchbox.jpg

Stopped at a Dollar Tree and while they didn’t have any Scramblers, they did have several other vehicles from the Baja Blazers series. So I am hoping that the Scramblers start showing up there, too.
 
Was at a Fred Meyer and while the wife was shopping I cruised by the Hot Wheel bins to see if there was anything interesting. Still no Scramblers, but I noticed 2 Jeepster Commandos on top of one of the bins, then it was on like Donkey Kong. Anywho, 23 Jeepsters later…

What gets me is that there is like no rhyme or reason as to what gets put out on display. These are from like 2 years ago, and they have to have been put out pretty recently. I don’t know if they are NOS and were sitting in a warehouse somewhere or they get rotated in and out of display. Just kind of weird.
