Craigslist Gold

On sunday Installed the Gold from the link from Mr. Boh. Thanks again. It was worth the 3 hours roundtrip for a 1974 Ish bench seat with no tears and good springs.

I've been lucky with c-list, I've bought alot but the things that come to mind right off are A NOS windshield frame and CJ7 hatch, some really good orig visors that arent broke and don't sag, a working AM radio (didn't get knobs or face plate but it was 40bucks, 5 mickey thompson wheels and tires, a neat old beleview winch with some really old louvered off road lights. I've bought more but these are my favorite scores. In my area used CJ stuff is kinda hard to come by. You never see one in a junkyard, when something hits craigslist you better be first with the cash. When I see someone with a CJ I always ask what kinda parts they have most of the time they have spares to sell or trade. Last month I bought some 8" wagon wheels with fair 33's on em. When I got there the guys wife kept pushing him to sell stuff he wasn't going to use. That's when I spotted the visors on a shelf, she pretty much made that deal. I hope that 10bucks promoted happyness in their marriage!:)

Not CL but an actual Ebay score (those don't happen too often these days!):

First off, I really like this thread. I search CL consistently. Here are a couple of mine. I was wanting an 8274 for my CJ8 and found one on CL for cheap. The add stated "Old Wern winch" no picture, it was not too far away so I gave it a shot. It was an 8274 and the guy only wanted $100. Now it did need to be rebuilt. So about a week or so later, I found another. Add stated warn "winch on trailer" the picture was awful but it did look like an 8274. So I took a chance and drove the 2 hours. Low and behold another 8274 for cheap that needed rebuild. So no I have one on my CJ8 and one on my 05 TJ.

Those wheels and tires should be on Reagan's Scrambler in the Museum, except for the red lines. What year did they go black lines?
