I agree with Jim. Love the way they look on the CJ's. I even like them on the TJ. If you are not in a hurry, you can usually pick on up for less than $500 that just needs a refurb. I have two in my collection that I got that way. One on the Scram and the other is going on the TJ. With using Joe West SE stickers, at least they look better. Not an original "show" quality, but nice.

These came from the estate of a person that worked at Jeep for their entire life in the promotional marketing division, as well as in sales, and he had accumulated many unique Jeep items over the years. In his advertising collection were these wheelcover spinners that have never been installed on a vehicle. They are OEM factory optional parts from Jeep or Jeep factory accessories, that could be used on many years, including the 1967 1968 1969 1970 1971, Commando or Jeepster.

Dang - I went to a pick-and-pull and grabbed a pair for a member here for something like $50 (pman, you right?). You owe me, man!
 
They arent gold plated, but just like everything CJ that is not being reproduced (or reproduced just like OEM) prices are UP UP UP and these are getting harder to find and more valuable when found in excellent condition. This would be a new record for sure, but I have seen prices for really clean ones selling at $250-$300.

If I'm not mistaken, aren't the "diamond plated" style that are up for auction only from 1981 and the "smooth" style with the sand paper from 1982 and up? I know the ad says it came off his 1984 CJ but I for some reason was thinking those were only on the 1981 CJ8's
 
damn, I just kicked one of those out of my way the other day, I guess I better find it and its mate and get them posted, maybe with correct spelling I could get even more!
