Our kiddo is at music camp and I really wanted to get the trailer project out for some off-the-grid camping to truly test out the solar and electrical setup.
Headed up to the Gaylord State Forest and found an old overgrown campsite with a fire pit that worked great. Perfect weather and no schedule made for some awesome wandering through the back roads to visit towns we’d always heard about. Great time and the solar kept up with the Dometic fridge and LED lights amazingly well.
The site was well shaded in most of the morning but had full sun within reach of my solar extension cord. Made sure to set the panel right at night to pick up the first sun and the battery was fully charged each morning by the time we got out of the tent!
