Half cab hard top can be made from YJ hard top???

Hello... Today was the Constitution's day, then I was working a few hours at the top:

I know it's not a window as wide as the original, but it's the best that I can find. Its good for me....
Some reinforcements here and there, belts holes and my friend Angel will finish both upper corners and paint the top.
It seems to me that I am finally seeing the end of this.....

OK, in the past days I make some progress... Can let everything ready to give the top to my friend to do paint job, also will have to make some finish touches....
Now its mounted because is the better way to transport it...
Also, I desire to all a happy Xmas and the best new year....

Looking good.
Can't wait to see the final result.

Don't know if it was mentioned, but what are the plans for the lower bulkhead?

OK, this is the next step. It will made of steel, and since I can't reproduce the stock in one piece because its tridimensional design so, I planning to do three separate parts, two at the sides an one at the center, and once I've the top at its place, I will spot-weld all together, take apart, review and improve all weld... then primed and painted. I'll use the stock body mounts to hold it at body and bolted to the wood frame at the top.

Very interested to see how that comes out... do you have any way to roll in the lines or will this be more of flat stock?

Wow! Impressed with how this is turning out!

OK, I will do it flat with some reinforcements to avoid vibrations and noises. It's because I can't do as the stock shape, neither looking for it.

Hello guys...
OK, today, after a long season with delays... this is the look of my top...
It needs some minor detaliling, today we mount it to check all before the final touch....
Once I've the top installed, will proceed to design the planes to make the bulkhead.....

You nailed it! Maybe a little cheaper shipping wise on the bulk head vs half cab.
Just reread your post. Did a Sunfish sailboat nose section that was damaged from rubbing rocks. My son, who works with composites, told me to shape the nose section of the hull with spray foam and a steak knife and then lay fiberglass. Worked great.

Well... I was thinking about import a good-used bulkhead... but shipping cost is realy expensive and taxes (40%), taken from adding shipping cost to price, make this a really expensive part....

As an option, you could make the bulkhead out of plywood and angled sheet metal strips. The outside could then be covered in fiberglass for durability.

OK, could be an option... but I have designed all steel parts yet, only need to install the hardtop when it is finished, to recheck all measures.

You did a fantastic job on making the hardtop. Even the inside looks like it will look really nice. Inside pictures when you can please.

Thank you very much... It has been a hard job, for a man who had never work over fiberglass...
Tomorrow will take some pictures at inside... Now I'm working to fit it correctly, making fine adjustments and preparing to install rear window too.
