Finally bit the bullet and gave up on my old Kayline top. I bought a new Bestop for my first Scrambler build (before I owned a Scrambler) waaaaaaay back in 2008, yes 2008. UPS delivered it and of course the box looked like is was air dropped from 10,000 ft. I checked it everything seemed to be there.. Anyways, I have been storing it since 2008, moved 5-6 times, so now I'm installing it. Seems I'm missing the vertical rod retaining brackets. Anyone have a set they could rush send me? I need them no later than 2 weeks from today (April 21st) as we have a trip to the hunting camp planned. Let me know if you have a set and for how much. Quadratec sells them, says they are "in stock" but I have a hard time paying $23.95 for small parts and $77.00 for regular shipping. That's American money, so factor in conversion to Canadian and likely being ripped off with customs and broker fees.

Those are the same as the YJ Wrangler soft top brackets, so are there any salvage yards or people parting out YJs near you?

In the future, you might consider calling Bestop themselves. A couple of years ago I got a fantastic deal on a used TrekTop and soft doors for my JKU. Unfortunately, the top was missing a couple of brackets and I only received one key for the doors. I called Bestop and got replacement brackets at a very reasonable price and they sent some keys for free.

That was @Bad Karma's next plan. His first was ask on here. His second was to ask me to buy them from Quadratec to ship here to get around the insane international shipping costs. The third was to fab them himself. The fourth and final one was to call Bestop.

It was also the weekend so Bestop was closed when I called them. Thankfully I found them. Now I just have to wait for it to warm up so I can stretch the top into place.
