High $$ Grab Bar

Wow. I'm going to have to sart wrapping crappy old grab bars in leather and selling them on ebay - while I won't call them "Laredo," I'm guessing I could get at least $100 for something that costs at most $20 to make.

a bidder by the username "squeaksjr" bought a perfect black laredo grab bar and a perfect laredo steering wheel for......$750....EACH a couple of years ago. I posted about it here at the time.

The buyer frequents this board. He has three pristine Jeeps. He is willing to pay for perfect/NOS items.

this same guy just spent $300 for an original am/fm radio...

Yeah, I sold my factory AM/FM Jeep stereo for $258 about 5 years ago on ebay. Later I regretted it as Dad's all original scrambler did not have a radio in it.

Then last year I found a NOS AM/FM/CB Jeep stereo for about 1/4 of what they've been going for on ebay.

The mike was used and I need the bracket for the mike plug, but the unit itself is brand spanking new.

Got to get around to installing that thing one of these days.........

Those things go in cycles. I sold a near perfect Laredo grab bar some time back, only got about $125.00.

I wonder if his wife knows he is using her pristine white rose bedspread to photograph his Jeep parts.... good thing this was clean and in near perfect condition.

Hmmmm.... I wonder if I were to put some of the parts off my 84 on eBay, would this guy pay top dollar for the seats that I took out?

WOW!!!!

I have a nice one that I removed from a CJ7 that I bought as a project for my son. He decided to go a different route for a vehicle (not sure who's son he is now...he just bought a Saturn  )...so I took the best parts of of the project CJ and swapped them with various parts for my Scrambler that weren't in as good shape.

The grab bar was just a bonus...since the previous owner of the CJ7 had a Laredo...he had sought out and found the Laredo grab bar...so I swapped that for the original too...

Maybe I'll ebay it and just go with a regular one...JEESH!

Ebay's great, isn't it?

I once saw a VW speedo with a trip-set odometer that went for $250 on Ebay. I remembered that I had one just like it in the bottom of my toolbox, covered with tranny lube and dirt. Been there since about '68. I cleaned it real good and put it up. Some guy in Japan paid me $365 for it. Go figger!

Oh, I paid $5 for it at a Harley swap meet. I love Harley guys!! Ho Ho!
