It's time to start making some changes.....

I figured that it was time to put the Jeep up on the lift to look for things that need attention. I almost feel bad for taking this out wheeling and driving it around for a couple of years now without working on it.....

That's a beautiful thing. Also it's a beautiful thing when you don't need to do anything to it for that long maintenance wise

I had a chance to get my Jeep on some scales today since the change to the coilovers and roll bar/dash updates and I was a bit surprised from the numbers. When this thing was still on leaf springs, I decided to put it on a diet and take out the kids seats, storage box and all of the other crap that I thought I might need but never did and I went from 2520 front/3020 rear weights to 2480 front/2140/rear weights. So everything that I took out 8 before diet.jpgdropped the weight 920lbs. Needless to say, it went up ledges a lot easier. So now with all of the updating that I have done, my front weight is currently 2465 front/2398 rear. This weight is as I drive it including extra fluids, empty coolers, and CO2 bottle. So the difference between the last leaf spring weight I had and the current configuration is now 243lbs. She is still a bit on the husky side but it's just what it is going to have to be.

Here are the current weights. I need to address the corner weights with moving the spring adjustments. I was surprised how far off all of the corners were. After wheeling this thing for a few years, the springs lave lost some of their ride height and I have not gone back to make any changes. That now is on the radar......My_8_weights_coilovers.jpg

I had the chance to get out and go play yesterday. When I get some of the videos from yesterday, I'll post them up.... So far, everything is working really well. This Jeep really surprises me every time I go out with it.
Love it! Keep the videos and pics coming!

So the Metalcloak CTI trailer is on tour and is in town this weekend so I decided to get the Jeep on it to work the suspension an bit. It's weird for me to have it flexed out and being able to see it from the outside. I only get the view of the front tire dropping out..... It scored a 940 for what that number is worth.....thumbnail_20231203_135507_resized.jpg
