KISS Daily driver (keep it simple stupid)

I wish mine had that plate. I didn't know enough about Jeeps when I bought mine to know it was missing🤔

No sense blurring out (or wire nutting) the vin to just post it in the next picture, just some friendly advice. Might want to edit that second post.

Congratulations and keep up the good work.

Decided to try and get my dash in order while I'm waiting on money to buy some body parts.
I need the :
fan switch
Defrost cable/knob
Heat control cable/knob
Air (fresh) control cable knob

I went on amazon and they had a set of 3 for about $40.00
Then I saw some American made products that were about 30-40 bucks EACH with different lengths

I don't mind paying the price if needed. Also what sizes do I need for a 1982 non AC Scrambler.
Also proper fan switch for heater.
Is there that much difference?

I had previously purchased front floor pan sections from Classinc. Did not know complete floor pan was available with Jeeps blessing. So to save alot time welding up rust holes and fittings of patches, etc.

With my KISS theme.20240827_133550.jpg I decided just to replace complete floor all at one time.

Also I'm going to use 1981 body to build off of, as the original plan returns. Decided the 1982 will be probably a mix of parts later.

I've been back and forth on what color to paint the 8. One day this color. Next day another. So right or wrong I've decided on 2013 Wrangler Commando Clear (PGH)

It is a solid color, no metallic. So now that I've made a decision I can paint my dash plate, install Speedhut gauges20240827_133403.jpg20240827_134241.jpg

No metallic means less chance of tiger stripes in the paint. Wish I would have done the same on my build, especially with touch up spots.

Purchased a starter recover kit at a deal, thanks to another member posting the information the other day.

The other day I was in Harbor Freight and notice a new design of 5 gallon gas tanks. So I got 2.

I wanted to spray some paint to see the color I chose. I've got the floor pan from key parts primed, ready to be painted. ( I know it gonna get butchered up duringv install)
Then I sprayed some Eastwood internal frame paint into cavities. The Eastwood paint really disappointed me. It clogged up the paint hose before I could finish. Then the regular nozzle without tube kept clogging. Soaking in reducer over and over so I could finish. Hoping to protect the insides from rust.

I'm impressed with quality of the key part.
