Meet Rusty, 82 5.0 Build

In the picture above it looks like the bottom hinge is angled a bit. You should be able to loosen the hinges and move them a bit to get the doors to close/align better. Rusty is looking great!
 
On my 7 when I bought steel 1/2 doors I overhauled them and painted, also new weather stripping. The hinges needed adjustment and also the windshield. When all that was done, the weather rubber was still a problem but the doors could be closed with some effort. It did take a few months, but the rubber did conform and now I could probably drive thru deep water and I don’t think much would come in. No problem with that now. Probably needs to start out tight
 
Thanks for the feedback, I did research the forum. I will use the threaded rod method and adjust the hinges 12 3/4 in apart. My concern is that the bottom of the door sticks out about 3/4 of an inch. And I believe it's because of the aftermarket hinges. When I installed the Besttop soft top, I did remeasure the distance between the windshield frame and the tailgate. I will adjust the hinges again and see if that helps.
 
Yeah my hinges on the doors were original and never moved before. So I don’t know about yours. I attempted to adjust them but my lack a patience wasn’t good. I had a friend with that knowledge and patience and in about 20 minutes got it done. 3/4” is a lot. spankrjs has a good write up on here with the threaded rod technique
