Moab Trip Suggestions

Hey guys, so kind of a late post.
I’m looking for some suggestions for places to go in Moab. We are staying in downtown Moab on Main Street.
We have our stock GC Trailhawk, and are looking for suggestions on scenic trails in the area and nearby National Parks.
We’ll be here through Saturday.

The over looks south of town in canyon lands park. Arches, explore the back roads. Not just the asphault. North of town Dino tracks. Sand Flats rec. area. Gateway car museum. Take drive up hway128. Do the night time boat curise. If you have time down in Blanding Edge Of the Cedar museum has a large collection of Native pottery.
 
I would throw out Elephant Hill in the canyonlands to hike up to the confluence of the rivers and then Chicken Corners for the views. I think both should be totally doable in your GC.

Arches is a given, you can take the dirt route to see the “extra” arches too.

Eat breakfast at the Moab diner and at least grab a drink at the Brewery just to check it out. Food isn’t so spectacular, but worth a visit.
 
No kidding. I'm staying at the expedition Inn tonight - those aren't your kids screaming out at the pool, are they?

Behind the rocks (south of town) has always been a favorite trail of mine. There's this really cool hogback formation and the sunrise views are amazing. Watch out for lions if you camp!

Schapher Switch-backs is a nice drive.
 
Two scenic and easy trails that I always recommend are Chicken Corners and the Shafer Trail. I avoid Arches these days...just too crowded. I'm glad I got to explore Arches when you could spend an entire day out there and not see another person. Now there is often a very long line just to get into the park.
 
White Rim, Elephant Hill, Big Pocket. Or, if you're up for something a little farther out, Goblin Valley is pretty cool and usually no crowds.
 
Onion Creek up the river towards Colorado is nice, so is Klondike bluffs(?), Whale Eye arch, Tower Arch and the Marching Men going into Arches NP the back way, Deadman's point/Spring or the Trin Alcove above the green river as well as the others mentioned above. If you wan tto go further afield Id suggest the Black Dragon petroglyphs near Green River and/or Newspaper rock near Canyonlands/Elephant Hill. There are tons of opportunities to explore.

Haha, no not mine.
My "kid" lives in CA.
Headed there to visit for the holidays, just decided to see a few sights on the way.
 
I just got back from another long day in the parks.
Didn't get to most of the trails that were suggested as we aren't fortunate enough to see country like this back in FL.
Did a little of the trail in Arches yesterday, and the Shafer Trail/Potash Rd back from the Canyonlands this afternoon.

Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions, definitely need to plan a longer trip in the future.
