New To Me 83--Parts Needed

I'll be "making room" for yard scrambler to return tomorrow to be kept inside :bacon: Somehow I need to find the time to reassemble everything I've taken off the tan scrambler before tomorrow. I didn't realize you'd be back so soon.:eek: I better go look at that thread to see what all was on it first :headbang:

And try to hurry up and find a color matched acme hardtop locally for sale to replace its original top that I sold. And in 3 hours! I'm hoping my nutmeg top will pass and I'll just look at him and go :shrug:
Maybe I can stall him...
 
My last "big" post for "Project Yard Scrambler", it has moved on to greener pastures.

Since we had to tow my '84 back, I went ahead and towed "Yard Scrambler" back to Baton Rouge.

Once we got to Baton Rouge, we had to wait on "always late Tommy", so we took a few laps around the industrial park.

And we used "Yard Scrambler" to help load up my non-running '84. The always glamorous Tommy dancing on the trailer.

Even though its no longer "mine/or in my Yard", I am sure I will still be involved in it's up keep.

Spanks did an awesome job on your Scrambler. And my hat really goes off to him wanting to save this vehicle. I spent Sunday cleaning it up, driving around, finished off the warn brush guard and winch as well as put on some of the items I had taken off prior to giving it to spanks. Unfortunately my crappy Uverse is down so I can't post any pictures but have sent some to spanks to post up for me. :thumbsup:

It is amazing how adding the Marchal Fogs and the OEM aux. turn signals really make the OEM brush guard look complete! I'm debating using my OEM brush guard and after seeing yours I think I am going to! I have the winch, mounting plate, Marchals, and turn signals. Now all I need to do is find the 8274 center section! :banghead:

Appreciate it, but JeepAddict handled the brush guard lights and accessories:thumbsup:

You might want to send him a PM about a center section, I think he was working on something awhile back, not too sure though :shrug:

When we put the brush guard on the first time, we used the upper bumper bolts. This was wrong. We used the forward most two bolts that stick up from the angle pieces the winch mount sits on, fits perfect:thumbsup:

I think some of the brush guards DO bolt to the bumper bolts, depends on winch type, non-winch, ect. Tommy knows much more about them then me:thumbsup::wave:
 
Well, I took it apart to fix some stuff and ummm....
But I mean all the parts are still there. And it ran great when it was parked

I actually drove my red Scrambler over to Tommy's this past Saturday, we put a new 2.5" Superlift suspension on old Yard Scrambler. While it did not raise it up much higher, it did firm it up a bit, especially the front, where the heavy winch/brush guard lives.

It started right up and drove around fine, just like I left it:cool:

I drove my red Scrambler over, one more test drive before the long Moab trip. Made it there and back just fine, but only got 12.5 MPG at 80 mph, will have to slow down some;)

I also drove the tan 84 Laredo Scrambler Tommy snagged awhile back, that rig is nice:thumbsup:

I didn't take any pictures, maybe Tommy did:shrug:
 
How's the yard Scrambler doing? I wish I had it back! I went to Jeep Jamboree in Hot Springs two weeks ago and wheeled with my buddy in his 82 scrambler. Man we had a blast! Email me: mr.moparman@yahoo.com
 
I think the poor Yard Scrambler is just sitting in one of Tommy's ware houses, kind of like the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark:shrug::ZZZ::thumbsup::wave:
 
Motivation.....Sand Blast 7..... A caravan from the Gulf states? :wave:
