Its been a while since I've posted anything and if this is in the wrong thread forgive me. I need a cover for an 83 with a half top. I've done searches and haven't come up with much besides what may fit. I'm looking for water prof since my jeep sits outside and I want buy buy quality but not bust the bank. Any suggestions on where to look and what to look for?

I used my gr8tops rainfly with my half cab on. Did great for nearly five years of 100% outdoor storage until the weather finally got to it.

The Gr8tops Jeep Jacket covers that cab and bed, but tge front clip is uncovered.

For full coverage, I know people that have used JKU covers, but they obviously have excess material to deal with if you don’t have a full top.

I had a soft top on my Cj8 I used a Cherokee cover. When I had the short cab on I would leave the rear soft top bar in place with a strap to the roll bar to hold the back up. Fit decently, but not tight.

Thanks for the replies, The gr8tops cover looks great but I really want to cover the front clip too. Its an original paint one that has to sit outside so I'm trying to help it what I can. Maybe the cherokee cover is the way to go.

I use a JKU cover and it’s great. However I run a full soft top and even most Summer days the canopy is up. Not sure how it’d fit a half cab. I foresee a puddle forming in the bed unless you did some type of support bar.

I've wondered if something for a small pickup like a Tacoma wouldn't fit a 1/2 cab scrambler.

Thanks, Works well for my needs. Fits either way, there's of front or back.

Yes, According to the website. My neighbor has one over his mustang and never had a problem.

Well I just ordered a carcover for my CJ7, figured I'd see if it looked ok, and if so, get one for the Scrambler.

I have to say after reading the reviews here, I'm wondering if I should cancel the order.

For those of you who have them, how long have you had it, and have you had any complaints?

Looks like warranty is limited to 3 covers, and you pay shipping for any warranty replacements.

The overall rating looks good, but when you look at the actual written reviews, not so much.

Wow. Looks like all of the positives were about the website rather than the cover. The covers were trashed

Yeah, that's why I'm wondering if I might should have looked elsewhere. My Jeeps are at least kept under carports, so not exposed to all of the elements, but the reviews don't look promising.

The couple of guys who have them here seem to think they were ok though, thus my question.

Sometimes people have unrealistic expectations of products. I don't expect to be able to leave my Jeep in a field in Kansas with 40MPH winds and have the cover hold up for long, nor do I expect to trailer it with the cover on, but I do want something that will last a while.

well shit... now i'm questioning my purchase. Hopefully this isn't a piece of junk. I'll mainly use it during summer months when we're at the beach and I don't feel like taking my top
