Starting to look and like more like a shop now. Hopeful I can line up some help and get the roof metal on this week.

OSHAA approved. The forty footer is a bear to maneuver and setup.

For a more balanced approach you could have slid the blades closer together and used 2. But it looks like you gotter done. Looking good.

If all goes as planned, start roof metal tomorrow.
I've attached a couple of 2x10x16' boards to the scissor lift basket.
Should be able to place a sheet of 21' roof metal on it and lift up to eve's.
Hope it works out as well as it's working out in my head. Wish us luck!

That lift off solid ground looks scary. Be careful…

Yes that’s about like skating on thin ice with Jaws circling underneath. It’s a very narrow platform at the bottom. I’m actually assuming you are not even going to be on or in it hopefully.

Roof metal is on.
Hired crew of 2 for on the roof duties.
Had ground crew of 3 + myself running up and down the ladder and moving equipment.
It all went very well.
20 - 21' 26 ga sheets and ridge cap on in 5.5 hours.

I'm beyond relieved to have this done.
Project for the most part will go on a bit of a hold so we can ready the fleet for the National Scramble.

The addition has been basically on hold Since getting the roof tin installed.

Now back to work, windows and walk door installed.

Finally back on this project.
Working on getting trim in place so we can hang some tin.
Watched lots of Youtube "how to" videos as I've not done this before.

Ratguard/starter trim. Boxed in the exposed ends.

Outside corner, did not really like the finished product. Wish I'd done 2 separate pieces.
20250914_112159.jpg

Clif got the door jamb trim painted so I could get trimmed around it.
20250914_112217.jpg

The walk door and 2 windows head trim will install after tin siding is in place.

Like how this 2 piece outside corner came together much better than the bent one.

The overhead door trim (jamb face with built in J channel) was a bit of a challenge.
Got 2 of the 4 vertical piece cut and fit. Will continue with the overhead door trim this evening.

We just ran some metal roof panels as siding on a warehouse building at work. No windows or doors on the concrete block wall we put the metal on. Ran heavy gauge hat channel about every 2' horizontal. On the corners used a piece of 90 as trim. Top flashing tucked under existing roof/facia flashing (flat roof). We were going to run a bottom piece of trim but keeping the metal up slightly off the concrete worked fine, and no trim sticking out the bottom.

Back to work to rest today.
3 hard days of physical work took it's toll on my body.
Wish I'd had a step counter on. Lot's of trips up and down the ladder.
Longest sheet was around 23'
Looking pretty good with some wall metal, IMHO!
Next up finish trim above window & door, cut & install couple small width sheets to finish wall metal on west end and then getting the corner and roof caps on that same end.
