I have always loved the high hood... I want to use it, but it might just not be possible with this setup. I have also entertained doing this on a CJ5 flat fender idea, but having this info, I might just have to sink the grille into the frame area, but redo the mount holes on it for where the fenders attach. Is the high hood setup just because you have it? Seems like going 3A would be a better start if that's what you want to do?
Get it if that's what's on hand.
Not to sound rude but this is a custom build (note the top, bed, rollbar, etc.)I am a big fan of the "stock" look and would worry about creating a forced look given the difference in the dimensions. But as John N said, you are building it for you, not for me.

Not rude at all, we all have our opinions. To your point, there are a bunch parts from different jeeps but Craig has done an awesome job making them all fit and look right. To the untrained eye, it simply just an awesome jeep truck, to the trained eye, its an amazing custom job. I am sure its going to be great no matter what direction it takes. I just enjoy watching the progress, knowing its so far beyond my capabilities and patience to execute. Not to sound rude but this is a custom build (note the top, bed, rollbar, etc.)
If anyone can make this look right it would be Craig.
Also, Craig already has more than his share of stock Jeeps.![]()
The interesting part is that the grille is the same size as the CJ grille... the flat fenders and hood being tight cause it to really look smaller. It is quite a difference in how the CJ hood handles all of that and makes it more "puffed" out.For me the grill looks too narrow for the truck, even though I dig the look of the older grills. Just my opinion.
Whatever you decide to do, please post a video of you taking it to your local auto parts store when it's complete and asking for a set of wiper blades!

Would have never thought they were the same size. Love it!A little more AI fun, pretty crazy, but hopefully inspires the build… just pm me @certifiablejeep if you want removed

I tried asking AI for 8274 and it made this winch. Likely copyright thing… ultimately @certifiablejeep vision…really needs an 8274 up front.
Just to clarify... width is the same, height is more on the "high hood". I grafted in a CJ grille inner structure into the high hood CJ3B grille shell so I could attach the fenders. There is a lot of work behind the scenes just to get this all to bolt up.Would have never thought they were the same size. Thanks for sharing
