Brit,

We do have to insure that the RHD members will not try to lure us to the wrong side of the road!;) ;) ;)

you know the chicks dig the RHD, we'll get more interest if the thing is whacked out on the wrong side! :d

Nah, why make another one with RHD, it just makes mine that much less rare...

Oh I see how it is! :) ;)

I guess that you, being a respectable and well educated gentleman, are aware that the U.S.A. drives in the LHD manner in direct defiance to the crown. I kid you not. You can thank your most uncivilized eighteenth century ancestors for that one. :) Oh yes THAT one really hurt the UK!... "Not!" :)

The direct benefits of LHD are clear however. For if it were not for those annoying colonial rebels interference with the plans of King George III, all Scramblers would be RHD today; which, with most of us being right handed, might make it easier to wave a friendly gesture to our fellow American freeway drivers to this very day! No, I said "friendly!" :D

Cheers Mate! :D

BTW, just added an event post announcing this month's gathering...

I've got a few odds & ends laying around as well that can be donated to the cause like a decent pair of rear flares, I think I bought an extra CJ-8 emblem.

oh geez, where do I start :D LOL, can' t ... stop ... typing ...
oh well,
-Thank God for those colonial rebels, we don need no stinkin king :p
-with most of us being right handed, might make it easier to keep your jeep on the road with your strong hand when you almost get whiplash as you catch another CJ out of the corner of your eye, thus leaving the left hand to wave a friendly gesture to our fellow American Jeepers
-lastly ... my "mate" has lifetime dibs on the passenger seat (but when she rides I need to throw a stool in the back, she's 5 foot tall (that's roughly 1 & 2/3rds meters for you) :D

LOL , couldn't resist bud ;) ;) :D

I truly enjoyed your responses Mike!

Especially the one above! For you see my lovely bride is 3 Centimeters taller than yours (that's about an inch :) ) but I'm afraid that a "stool" is "right out." Approximately a fortnight ago I installed a proper English riding stirrup for the passenger side of my Rig! No, I am NOT making that up. :) Needless to say she didn't much appreciate my rather dry humor! In fact I think her response was a swift right blow to my upper arm followed by some rather choice words. :D I thought it was the Mutts Nuts! (ahem...that roughly translates to "funnier than hell"). ;)

OK...quick update. I talked to Matt Donaghy last night, and I'll be organizing some ideas over the next week or so regarding the project coordination. Once that's done, I'll be talking with Matt and the other SOA board members about firming up the plans. More updates to come shortly.

In the meantime, if you have parts that you'd be willing to donate, go ahead and reply to this thread. I have already been adding the stuff previously mentioned to a spreadsheet, and I'll continue to add to it.

Thanks,
Craig

Craig,

If your going to be the head shed on this let me know what I can do to help.

BTW, thanks for the offer Truck. I'll keep it in mind.

Matt Donaghy - I e-mailed you some ideas. Drop me an e-mail or call when you get a few moments.

Thanks,
Craig
