Southern Anounces Spring Dixie Run

I'm still aiming for this & would like to convoy out with Goat or the Richmond/Maryland area folks

The idea above about the completely or near stock ppl trying a medium trail or riding with others should be addressed if we decide on an 8 only ride.
How many rigs do they run per trail usually??
If the turn out is good enough maybe we could have 2 groups?

.. and with my luck, if we do that I won't know which group to go with  I'm experienced but my Jeep in this new condition would almost be untried (I will be going to Uhwarrie & or GWNF to shake it out prior to may barring any unforseen engine install probs)
Either way I/ we are assured good times!!!

Both of the runs that I did at this past dixie run had no more than 8 rigs.

At this point, I am planning on being there. My plan is to head out on Thursday so I can be there for the Friday runs (it appears to be a Friday through Sunday event). It looks like, at least, an 8 hour haul for me from the Richmond area. I still need to figure out where others are staying, since I don't know the area.
On another note, I have been unable to arrange a Spring Scramble event. I tried, but since they are already holding a Jeep Jamboree in April and Camp Jeep in June, they feel they can't put us inbetween at the end of May/early June. If anyone plans on either of these events at Oak Ridge, let me know and we can get together. I'm trying to volunteer to help out at both.

Definitely going!!!!

We are definitely going!! After my first time to the Dixie Run last fall, I'm hooked!! Plus I have not been to WindRock and have heard a lot about that place!!

We are going to Tellico with the GBR club in 2 weeks, hopefully there is snow and we are planning to run Guardrail.. so let's hope that I will not break anything too seriously.... but if we do.. we'll have a few months to fix them before Dixie Run...

Kristy:p

CJ8 group

I'll get in on the CJ8 group if there is one, but I'm planning on going to this no matter what. Hope to meet some of you there and check out other CJ8's. If any new info try to keep me and others in the loop. Thanks

JC, Do you know a campground (or motel) we can aim for as a group for a place to stay?

Camp Ground and Motels

John i don't right off hand, but i'll see what i can find out and i'll post it here-JC:D

I'm starting to lean towards coming to this and ditching the other thing.

I'd definitely be interested in the campground route and all the better if we could find one somewhere that had enough room that as many Scramblers as possible could camp together.

I havent seen anything from the SC contingent. I hope that there are representatives from all over. I plan on being there, camping works best for me. As I am almost completely stock, My vote is for the less challenging trails.
