Speedhut gauge install, wiring update/fix, switchplate

So sweet. Very bright. Does the dimmer work? Just wondering. Not that I would since my dash lights need to be a lot brighter.

First real road/off-road/night driving today. Everything seems to work great but I need to adjust the tach range/signal, it's reading low. The temp sender I broke for the tranny gauge apparently is too different from the one my autometer gauge used, so I was not getting a signal on it, but everything else was awesome.

I am glad that I went ahead and mounted the gauge dimmer switch in the dash like I did. I fine tuned the brightness and dialing down the faces really made the white needles stand out perfectly. SO glad I talked myself into them over red. They just look perfect.

Got to test out the air pressure gauge when refilling my tires.

And the hand throttle got quite the workout today between a few different winching efforts pulling timothy out of trouble and the OBA filling the tires back up. It worked flawlessly and was essential for the winching efforts, the one pull with Tim sunk in a deep hole was really working the alternator hard. Awesome addition.

How much info did you end up pulling from the Canbus? Just CEL? Or more?

None. Different than ODB1 or 2 so no good for me. :banghead:

That's too bad. It seemed like a dream that a two wire connection to a computer could end up pulling multiethnic things strait from the ecu........

It'll work for folks with the right engine swap.

Nice Eric!

Will you be in our neck of the woods this weekend for the swap meet?

I think I'm going with something similar. You went with the silver as well it looks like? We know it looks awesome at night, but now that you've had it out does it work well in different types of light during the day?

Colors: Day - Silver dial // black font
Night - Dial Blue Glow
Font Style: CJ
Tick Style: Standard
Pointer: Chrome Blade Racer Red (Glows Red)
Bezel: Legacy Chrome

I was worried about the white pointers on the silver but it works great. I am really happy I switched to the black bezel and buttons. The overall look in the Jeep is perfect.

Ordered my set. Cant wait to get them. I went with the dark red pointer and a copper background

SO???? The fuel gauge works better than the ones we use in a jeep speedo? And it works with a parts store sending unit?

Seems to work perfectly and you can calibrate it to whatever your sending unit reads when full and empty. Is that what you're asking?
