Unfortunately it looks like I'm working through the week and unable to attend most of the event. I'm on beachside south of Dunlawton if your out touring around. Sunday I'm working on my brothers van so there goes that day too.
well I finally went and did it... pulled the trigger on a set of Speed Hut gauges. The factory look except the speedo will have an offset racing stripe. Should be a couple or three weeks. I'll post up the process when they get here. Cheers
I'll post em up when they arrive. I'm stoked they're getting here quick but not too much in a hurry with the heat. I did a timing belt on my 300zx today and the heat and humidity was up there. I had a floor fan aka carpet fan blowing on me and a box fan. I was soaked to my drawers and probably drank over 2 gallons of cool water and never took a leak.
Well I've had the gauges sitting on my tool box front and center since August. The weather was really nice this past week so I got inspired. I was able to install the gauges without pulling the dash back which I was planning on doing. It took 2 short evenings and about four hours today to get r done. Still need to calibrate the fuel level and adjust all the settings but I like em.
I dont know whats better, the new gauges or actually knowing how much gas I have. Also my factory oil pressure gauge read abouty 20psi. The new gauges come with new senders for the oil and temp. Oil pressures up at 60 psi cold and settles down to 35 when warmed up at idle. Temp is stable in the middle of the band and did I mention I have a working gas gauge.
