What flaring tool are you guys using? Just want an idea.

I keep looking for a Mastercool set for a decent price. But I don't think anyone sells them once they buy them!

X3, I also have the same flare tool. Can't beat it for good flares (multi style flares with that unit). Makes it pretty easy to do flares while on the vehicle also.

I've used both mastercool and eastwood. I personally prefer the eastwood. The rotating head and mechanical action is quick and easy. I also like how the tool mounts in a vice, although the mastercool is easier to use on the vehicle.

I’m really wanting the Mastercool because it can make the fuel line quick release flare.

I've seen people have success by using one of the cheap tools, but rather than relying on the wing nuts to clamp it down, they instead stick it in a vice. I picked up a cheap one a couple years ago for one project where the line was still installed in the vehicle and couldn't do it that way, but it worked well enough for what I needed at the time.

Has anybody used the hydraulic flaring setup from Eastwood? Thoughts?
I just bought one. I have to make 2 lines for my '04 Ram 1500 that are no longer available. Bought a roll of 3/16" nicopp line today for less than half of what Napa wanted from a small local parts store. Got it from them for $259 at Spring Carlisle.

I have used that kit when I redid all of the brake lines a few years Ago. Made it super easy. I borrowed the set rather than buying it. But my son is about to do brake lines for his car and I told him to use this kit.

Late to the party but for what its worth, I tried this one off amazon and it works great. Only good for 3/16" and 1/4" though.

Lisle 33260 Flaring Tool

For larger fuel lines I used the cheap-o double flare tool from O'reilly "Evertough" rental. But only with the first step being used to make a bubble instead of a double flare.
