Today I got asked if I customized my CJ7. Spent 5 min. What was your favorite questions/stories of explaining to others about the great CJ8?

What is that?
Is that a former ambulence?
Did you buy it that way?
Why is the steering wheel on the wrong side?
Did you make the top?
Ever think about selling it?

That's great!

Why is it so long? Did you weld two jeeps together? That's after they stand there and stare at it for a few mins.

The one I hate the most: "Did you make that by welding to Wranglers together?"

My most aggravating one wasn't so much a question but "statement of fact / question"

When towing it home after the engine build we stopped to get gas. An older guy walked up and said "Nice Scrambler. Did you know that Scrambler was just an option package for a CJ-7?" :banghead:

I explained that it wasn't - that it was it's own model and he laughed at me like I didn't know what I was talking about and walked off.

Maybe it's because I don't drive mine unless I'm going wheeling, because I live in Colorado where Jeeps are so common, or an odd combination of both, but I've not had any stupid questions as of yet. Having said that, I expect to get one soon as a result of making that statement...

"Why yes it was! Have you ever noticed how well they hid the frame extension bolts? I'll give you ten bucks if you can find one."

A lady asked me the other day if Jeep just starting making it..
