Maybe you could get something like this to fill the gap with some trimming, a heat gun and some black paint. A plastic floor/wall/ceiling plate in 2" is 2 3/8" ID. http://www.mcmaster.com/#escutcheon-plates/=11l9t2w

The other one was fine.. but that side was so bad the axle twisted everytime it moved. Another note on those 2 purchs . The po installed new spings and installed a large headed spring center bolt. So it never seated in the hole and was just floating on the pads. I forgot to take a picture of that and could of used it as a fail post. Lol

Not on my bench, but laying on my back I was 6 for 6 this morning on the studs, not a bad way to start off April. They are now on their way to someone else's scrambler project.

Nicely done! I have some studs on my work bench I'm refurbishing. You heading to Bantam and PA jeep shows this year? May have to place an order😀 Hard to find scrambler parts in Canada Eh!🇨🇦

I have the same small oxy/acet set and use a small welding tip. Worth their weight in gold when taking the rusty nuts and bolts apart.

Yes I should be at both. Definitely PA Jeeps. The trick is getting the little nuts nice and hot just before they get super red, drop torch or hand to an assistant and grab the socket/ratchet wrench. Disclaimer tho, it's better to just break the studs on a jeep that you care about the paint on, cause it does burn the paint a bit.

Don't I know it. Angry with myself that my frame swap has taken so long. I picked up the frame last April. So it has been a year. It took the frame breaking for me to really start it in September. Ugh.
